Landon is a Campus Visits Coordinator with the Iowa State University College of Human Sciences Undergraduate Recruitment office in Ames, Iowa. In his role, Landon meets with prospective students to help them find where they belong within the many majors offered in the college, advises the college ambassador program, and works to identify and implement new recruitment strategies for the college. Previously, Landon served as the County Youth Coordinator for Iowa State University Extension and Outreach - Marshall County, and as the Youth Outreach Coordinator for Iowa State University Extension and Outreach - West Pottawattamie County.
As a student member of AAFCS, Landon served three terms on the National Student Unit Leadership Team as Chair Elect (2018-2019), Chair (2019-2020), and as Immediate Past Chair and Counselor to the Student Unit (2020-2021). Landon currently serves as the chair of the AAFCS Awards Committee.
Landon earned a B.S. degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education and Studies (FCEDS) with a concentration in Professional Studies from Iowa State University '20. He plans to one day attain an M.S. and Ph.D. and help to continue advancing the field of FCS through its many different focus areas.
In his free time, Landon enjoys helping out on the family heritage farm where they raise pigs and grow corn, baking, hiking, playing the pipe organ, and playing with his dog Tarlo.
