PAFCS GEMS (Grants to Energize Membership Support)
In fifty years, professionals who aren’t even born yet will be leading PAFCS. Our goal is to encourage professionals to join AAFCS/PAFCS so they can continue the work necessary to ensure that PAFCS thrives for generations to come. And, we want to capture your valuable experiences and intellectual capital that will inspire new leaders.Do you recall how the support from your predecessors encouraged you to join AAFCS/PAFCS? It was your membership so many years ago that helped to shape what our Association is today. Now, we rely on your support to provide the resources aimed at our highest priority: our new FCS professionals. Each day we are developing and empowering new professionals to energize their passion for family and consumer sciences by creating unmatched opportunities in learning, professional growth, and service.Your generosity is essential to the success of AAFCS/PAFCS where we aim to develop and empower leaders, support family and consumer sciences, and change the world. Please consider donating to GEMS (an acronym for Grants to Energize Membership Support). This program is unique to PAFCS and all of your donation will remain with Pennsylvania’s new professionals. The GEMS program will offer professionals with less than five years of membership in AAFCS/PAFCS a one-time grant to pay for a portion of their AAFCS/PAFCS membership. Your powerful philanthropic contribution will make a lasting impact by supporting new professionals.
You may donate any amount you wish. Your generous contribution will contribute to the AAFCS/PAFCS membership of new professionals. For your reference:
1st yr Professional Membership in AAFCS/PAFCS = $100/yr
Professional Membership in AAFCS/PAFCS = $150/yr

Current PAFCS members have generously donated to support new FCS professionals' membership in our Association. This program is unique to Pennsylvania. The GEMS program offers professionals with less than five years of membership in AAFCS/PAFCS a one-time grant to pay for a portion of their AAFCS/PAFCS membership.
If you are eligible for this support, we encourage you to request a one-time grant for your membership in AAFCS/PAFCS.
