What's BoK got to do with it?

About the Module

The Body of Knowledge is the foundation of our work to help individuals, families, and communities live well in a complex society. This webinar will outline specific strategies University of Georgia faculty made to showcase the Body of Knowledge’s accessibility, relatability, and relevancy in their introductory course. This included a course redesign, updated assignments, a website, and video. Dr. Carol Anderson will introduce and provide historical context of the Body of Knowledge and remind us that the Body of Knowledge is still very much relevant and needed in today’s work.

As a result of attending this sessions, participants will be able to:
1) Explain the three Body of Knowledge categories of concepts.
2) Recognize the value of integrating the Body of Knowledge into courses, presentations, assignments, etc.
3) Employ one strategy to incorporate the Body of Knowledge into their own work.
4) Extend the application of the Body of Knowledge beyond the classroom to prepare future professionals.
